Ron served in the United States Air Force and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He met his wife, Patricia Boduch, in Hamtramck, MI, and they were married in 1969.
Ron had a long career in computer programing at Burroughs/Unisys, Houston Northwest Medical Center, and SMA. He retired in 2001 after suffering a stroke. Ron was an avid fisherman and especially enjoyed shark fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. He loved spending time with his family, reading the latest thriller, watching movies, and camping.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Pat; his three daughters Trina Rex, Sheila and Kevin Franz, Tracey Carillo and Michael Bowes, Jr; two grandchildren Leia Rex and Lee Engle, Denny Rex, Jr; two great-grandsons, Gavin and Noah Engle and great-granddaughter on the way; siblings Carol Spieg and Teresa Carey and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Michael Socha.
A memorial visitation will be held prior the services from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Friday, June 27, 2014, with the memorial service to begin at 3:00 pm.
