Ronald W. Spears, 81, former Oklahoma City, OK resident, passed away March 14, 2016 at CHI St. Luke's Hospital, The Woodlands, TX. He was born July 28, 1934 in Bisbee, AZ to Delmer Spears and Ruth (Morgan) Spears. After attending the University of Oklahoma, and serving his country in the U.S. Army, Ron had a long and distinguished career with the F.A.A. His many interests included wine tasting, travel and watching O.U. football. He is survived by his wife, Dowlene of 23 years, brother Richard Spears, of Wichita, KS, two daughters, Lisa Reid of McKinney, TX and Kathy Newland of Moore, OK, four nieces, three nephews and seven grandchildren. At his request, a graveside service will be held.
