Thomas G. Collins went to be with our Lord on April 24, 2010 in Houston, Texas. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 17, 1935 to the late Archibald and Anne Collins. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Eddie, Jerome, and Gregory Collins, and son, Roy Collins. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Mary Collins; son Greg Collins and wife Angel; step-children Craig Collins and wife Debbie, Sherry Lawson and husband Mike; sister Barbara Nichols and husband Wayne; brothers Gordon Collins and wife Evelyn, and Gerald Collins and wife Kitty; sister-in-law Maria Collins; grandchildren Ryan Collins and Collin, Michael and Brandi Lawson, Dwain and Tommy Collins and Hannah Stewart; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Tom was as avid golfer and employed with the Houston Fire Dept. for 44 years serving as District Chief for 25 years. He was the center of his family that will be dearly missed. Thomas was a loving husband, father, brother grandfather and friend. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, April 26, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral. Funeral Services are set for 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 27, 2010, in the Chapel followed with a rite of committal in Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery.
