

William “Bill” Marshall Cahal, 73, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Tuesday August 31st, 2021, after a valiant battle with leukemia. His strength and perseverance throughout his illness was admirable and will always be remembered by those around him.
William was born to Mac and Wilma Cahal on October 2nd, 1947 in Evanston, Illinois. Bill graduated from Pembroke Hill School, spent two years at The University of Kansas, and went on to enroll in the Marine Corps in 1969. After completing his time with the Marine Corps, Bill began working with Marriott Hotels in Dallas, which led to a successful career in the Hospitality Industry.
After retiring, he was heavily involved with Harley Davidson and spent his time traveling across the country on bike trips. He had a passion for motorcycles, cars, and model trains. Bill’s favorite time of year was football season and although he watched it all, his team was the Kansas City Chiefs. He was a loving father, and his kids were important to him as he looked forward to his weekly Sunday phone calls. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren whenever he could and after moving to the Houston area he loved his frequent visits, lunch get-togethers, and was busy planning a sleepover for his grandchildren.
Bill has been preceded in death by his parents, Wilma and Mac; daughter-in-law, Nerissa Cahal; and brother-in-law, Don Holder. He is survived by his sister Carolyn Holder and niece and nephew Heather and Christopher Holder; daughter and husband Carrie and Doug Nichols; son Chris Cahal and grandchildren Colson, Brody, Parker, and Isabelle; daughter and husband Shannon and Brian Rowe and grandchildren Braeden, Brynn, and Bennett; and his beloved dog Bailey.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 27, 2021 at 2pm, at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384.
