I knew Jack from Texas Commerce and then at Sterling Bank  I had the wornderful experience of being able to work beside him and so many of the life-long relationships that he developed with his bank customers.   He made such a tremendous difference  in so many lifes.    He taught me so much about  the importance of genuine caring and friendship.    He is a great example of a life well-lived.   Condolences to Clara and family.

Daddy was the best person I ever knew and I will miss his unconditional love for the rest of my life.

I had the pleasure of working at Reagan State Bank with Mr. Fields. He was a great man. He was a Senior Officer in the 60's and always had a smile for everyone he met. My condolences to the Fields family..Pat Costa

Jack Fields was born to lead. Whether in business or civic endeavors, when he took charge everyone knew success was assured. Jack was blessed with great vision, superb organizational skills, and a relentless energy when pursuing his goals. You quickly learned to get on board or get out of the way because things were going to get done. Even for a jaded old newspaper man like me, it was a wonder to behold. In the decades he spent building little Reagan State Bank into a nationally recognized powerhouse, he trained a whole generation of future bank presidents. He was incredibly dedicated to our community and leaves a legacy of accomplishments that will continue to benefit us for years . We were all very fortunate to have him.

Jack gave me my first loan when I was only 23 and he was the VP of Reagan State Bank.  Over the years I found Jack to be a man of the highest integrity and honesty.  Jack was not only a business asset, but was a personal friend.  I will miss you Jack.

Mr. Fields, I was fortunate that our career paths crossed at both Texas Commerce and at Sterling Bank.  Thanks for all the advice and the memories you shared with me.

I was a DE student from Reagan High School working at Reagan State Bank in the 60's and Mr. Fields was one of the Sr. Officers.
He was really great with our group. When I returned to the bank in 1985 he was President and was the same Great leader of the best bank ever. After he retired and I reached a major birthday he came by the bank to wish me a happy birthday. He always treated us like family! God Bless you Clara and all of his love ones he leaves behind.

I had the pleasure of being one of Jack's customers at Reagan Bank.  He was a man of his word.  My heart goes out to his family.

Mr. Fields, I will always remember the good old days at Reagan Bank and when you bet me about an old cannon in which I gave you a toy cannon as a surprise.  You made us have fun at the bank, but also you were very stern in running a good company.  You will be missed dearly.  God Bless you and your family.
