Stuart, Donna (Nee Mondry) Age 74 years, of Gainesville FL, formerly of Mequon WI. Passed away peacefully on Jan. 22, 2012. Preceded in death by husband James Coon. Dear mother of Debra (Lou) Desimone, Todd, and Troy (Kathy) Stuart. Survived by brother James (Joan) Mondry, sisters Kathy (Jerry) Herbst and Lynn (Kenny) McGuire. Grandmother of Alyssa Hamilton. After being a long time employee of Kohl's food store in Thiensville, Donna moved to Hawaii, and lived there for many years. Her job then took her to the Marshall Islands, she then retired in Florida. Mom's fondest memories of Wisconsin were driving her SS396 Camaro convertible (top down, of course!), having pizza parties for friends and family, and trying to keep us kids out of trouble-Not an easy task! Mom was an avid craftsperson and gathered shells during her stays in Hawaii and the Marshall islands, and used them to create beautiful candles, wreaths, and other items. Several of her wreaths won first prize at the Alachua County Fair in Florida. Mom loved flowers and often folks who came to visit her in Hawaii would be greeted by her carrying flower leis she had made herself. She was an avid photographer and her vast photo albums recording her travels are a legacy that will be cherished for years to come. Mom was a fan of musicals and we have fond memories of her beautiful singing voice waking us in the morning to go to school. Music and singing brought her great pleasure. She was a cat lover and is survived by two wonderful cats Keiki and Molly they miss her dearly. A budding genealogist, Mom had been working on defining the family tree for many years. She also had begun her memoir, tentatively titled "Luck be a Lady" a line taken from one of her favorite musicals. Mom, you will be missed. A Memorial service will be held at the funeral home Saturday, February 4, 2012, from 3 PM-5 PM. Memorials suggested to Ozaukee Humane Society.
