My sympathy to all of you who loved Rex. He was our carrier for I don't remember how long on Crestline Road in Mequon.  I was very grateful when all my mail would not fit in the mailbox and he would trudge through the snow to my door.  I just found out about his passing and since I hadn't seen him in a while I asked the new carrier if Rex was enjoying golf and retirement.  I too will miss him.
May God hold you in the palm of his hand until you meet again!

Although Rex and I hadn't seen each other in several years, I called him a few weeks ago when I heard the horrible news that he was dying.  We talked -- and laughed -- for nearly an hour.  That's right, laughed!  I have had many friends die; most far too early.  But I have rarely seen anyone approach death with the kind of courage, self-control, dignity, and, yes, even sense of humor that animated Rex until the very end. He will be greatly missed!  My deepest sympathies to Kathy and the entire Kanack family.

Kathy I don't know quite to say ! I just found out yesterday while having a conversation with Sam. I didn't even known He was sick. I always had a soft spot in my heart for Rex ! We were old buddies as you probably  know. Kathy I would not have missed the funeral If I had been home. I'm living in Colorado;however I am home quite a bit. Kathy I will be praying for you and my hope is that your greif will pass as you remember that zest your husband had for life. I am so so sorry for your loss Love Karen O'Malley

I worked with Rex at the Thiensville PO for many years and also lived close by him at one time. Rex was a great guy to work with or just sit back and talk to he will be missed, My condolences goes out to Kathy and the family.

I am so sorry for your great loss.  I remember Rex as a young man so full of life and Di's little brother.  He was taken too young but he is at peace.

Rex was a true beacon of light and laughter....We were proud to have him as part of our wedding party. His smile will be missed. May God bless your family, and may he give you strength and peace.

I knew Rex for all of his Postal career until I retired. I worked next to him for many years and have many fun memories of that time. Rest in peace, my friend.

When I was first hired at the Thiensville PO and was taken around to meet all of the carriers what I remembered most about Rex was his big, booming voice. I could recognize it anywhere. We worked together for 24 years and he will be missed.

I got to work across the room from Rex for quite few years and he always kept us on our toes, in a good way.  He took his job serious and all his customers loved him.  I came to respect him and I know his co-workers did too.  He was a good person and I will always remember him as a friend.  He will truly be missed.
