Viola P Witt

(nee Gillian) age 93. Passed away peacefully on Friday May 31, 2013, joining her husband, Dick, son, Dick Jr., brothers, Eddie, Joe (the late Polly) and Wally (the late June) Gillian. Vi was the special mother of Dick (Lynda) Witt, Carol (Dick) Muenich and Judy (Tom) Meaux. She leaves behind 5 loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, other family and caring friends. Funeral Service 12 PM on Saturday June 8, 2013 at the Lasata Care Center Chapel, W76 N677 Wauwatosa Rd, Cedarburg, WI 53012. The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday from 11 AM until time of service. Private Entombment Pinelawn Memorial Park. In her quiet, unassuming way, she imparted gifts to those who knew and loved her. “Less is more” was her style. She wasn’t much of a talker, never wanted to be the center of attention, but if you were lucky enough to be the recipient of a comment or - two it was worth the wait. Her love of nature and the outdoors (especially snow days), kindness toward animals, an amazing green thumb, dry sense of humor, ready for anything attitude all were part of the woman she was. Shopping, going to church picnics and festivals, collecting her many tchotchkes, playing cards and bingo brought her joy especially as she moved through the years. Her tastes were simple and she enjoyed a cold beer and slice of sausage pizza over any fancy meal. Spending time with family and friends mattered most to her. We would like to thank her family at Lasata Care Center for providing a caring, nurturing, safe home for her for the past five years. We couldn’t have asked for a better place for her to be. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lasata Activity Department would be very appreciated.
