A graduate of West Virginia School of Pharmacy, 1961. Owner of Hamilton Drug Store, Lisbon, Ohio that he operated with his wife Karen. Moving to NC in 1979, worked at Denton Drug and High Point Regional Hospital until his retirement.
He is survived by wife Karen whom he married July 13th, 1971. He leaves a daughter, Elizabeth M. (Rubish) Jenkins and Jason of Thomasville; grandchildren Justin and Nathan; son, Michael J. Rubish, wife Susan; grandchildren Rachel and Luke; son Matthew S. Rubish and wife Derly; grandchild Matthew A. of Safety Harbor, FL; a brother John M. Rubish and wife Diane of Lakeland, FL.
A brother Gregory preceded him in death.

There will be a memorial service at First Presbyterian Church of Thomasville on April 5th at 2pm.
