Betty Sue Eddinger Waisner, 95, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, January 4, 2025.
Betty Sue was born in Davidson County, February 28, 1929, a daughter of the late Hester Dewey Eddinger and Alice Hedrick Eddinger. She graduated from Pilot High School in 1947. Betty Sue began her working career as a seamstress at Carolina Underwear, continued at KayBe Mills, and retired from Liberty Drive Elementary School. She loved sewing, gardening, crafts and camping. Betty Sue enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as caring for her husband, Leroy. She was of the Baptist faith and served in many roles while she was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Betty Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Waisner; and seven siblings, Olin Eddinger, Carlene Hopkins, Bill Eddinger, David Eddinger, Frank Eddinger, Nancy Embler and Louise Reece.
Surviving are three daughters, Karen Harris, Barbara Hayworth (Greg) and Annette Waisner; three grandchildren, Andy Hayworth, Chris Hayworth and Adam Tobin (Kala); three great-grandchildren, Ronni Kate Tobin, Boone Tobin and Brady Rose Tobin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Betty Sue's life will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 11 a.m. in the Sechrest-Davis Funeral Home Chapel, by Pastor Jason Craver. Burial will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
