

He was born on June 4, 1931 in Davidson County to the late Von and Essie Black Grubb. Billy was a self-employed carpenter and was of the Baptist faith. He loved working on lawn mowers, tinkering with watches and going to Cook’s flea market. On March 25, 2013 he was preceded in death by his wife, Cleo Byerly Grubb, whom he dearly loved and missed greatly, a daughter Cynthia Grubb and a sister Barbara Hedrick.
Mr. Grubb is survived by a daughter Tuwana Grove and husband Len, a son Michael Grubb and wife Judy, a sister Phyllis Love, five grandchildren: David Grubb and wife Sue, Renee Cook and husband Adam, Sherri Deaton, Cindy Tysinger and husband Charlie, Michelle Miller and boyfriend Marshall King; and nine great grandchildren: Owen Grubb, Olivia Grubb, Isabella Cook, Skyler Cook, McKayla Deaton, Brianna Tysinger, Dillon Tysinger, Logan King, Autumn King.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1pm on Thursday, January 9th at Holly Hill Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Billy Joe Yates officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of his son and daughter.
