Bobby Ray Sechrist

Bobby was born April, 1, 1941, in Davidson County, a son of the late Johnny and Ethel Sechrist. Bobby was a sander in the furniture industry until he retired. He was a simple man who loved the Lord. His favorite tv show was "Gunsmoke". Bobby was a faithful member of Friendly Gospel Baptist Church up until his declining health. Bobby enjoyed reading the Bible and being with family. Preceding in Bobby's death are his one son, Rodney "Flash" Sechrist; two sisters, Dorothy Ruth and Shirley Dockery; and one brother, James Sechrist.

Surviving are one daughter, Debra Jones and husband Thomas; one son, Vernon Sechrist; one sister, Betty Lou Hunt and husband Tom; two grandchildren, Jessica Snow and Michelle Sechrist; three great-grandchildren, Dakota, Amari, and Ariel; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Bobby's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Sechrest-Davis Funerals and Cremations in Thomasville by Pastor Darrell Summey. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Hughes Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
