Carmen Maria Maldonado

Carmen was born on May 20, 1930, a daughter to the late Raphael and Amelia Elias.

She especially enjoyed cooking and dancing. Most of all, she loved her grandchildren and had a giving heart, always willing to help others.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Raphael Elias Jr. and Wilson Elias.

Surviving are her sons, John David Pere of Sunset Beach, NC and Robert Maldonado and wife Betsyann of Thomasville; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Manny and Joey Elias; and two sisters, Gloria Poventud and husband George and Rose Marie Elias.

A service to celebrate Carmen’s life will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, May 30, 2018 in the chapel of Thomasville Funeral Home with Father Jim Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm until 2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
