Carolyn Rose Loftis Talent

Carolyn was born on July 16, 1944 in Horry County, SC to the late John Albert and Doretha Stroud Loftis. She was a homemaker and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. Carolyn also enjoyed cooking, watching TV ministries, and going to the beach. She had a strong faith in God and currently attended Free Life Assembly of God and formerly The Well.

Surviving are her sons, Victor Darin Talent and wife Melissa of Denton, Timothy Dale Talent and wife Lourendia of Lexington, and Walter “Rusty” Talent of Thomasville; eleven grandchildren, Sheena Talent and husband Skylar Payne, Jamie Talent and wife, Samantha Tysinger, Tim Talent II and wife Mindy, Megan Talent, Kayla Crouse and husband Chad, Tiffany Talent, Andrew Burney, Jessy Burney, Sebastian Talent, Anthony Rich, and Gabrielle Talent; ten great grandchildren; and four brothers, Ricky Loftis and wife Young, Bill Loftis and wife Betty, Joe Loftis and wife Maxine, and Roger Loftis.

A celebration of Carolyn’s life will be held at 2 pm Saturday in the chapel of Thomasville Funeral Home, 18 Randolph Street, with Bishop Richard Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 pm until 2 pm Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
