Catherine Fontaine Lawrence

Catherine was born on January 8, 1938 in Wake County, North Carolina to the late James and Irene Stephenson Fountaine. Catherine was a direct descendant of Patrick Henry and in like manner, used her life in serving those around her. She was a devoted school teacher for over 30 years in NC. She faithfully served in the United Methodist Women’s Ministry, was a prayer chaplain in the local hospitals, served in the Emmaus ministry and devoted herself to a life of serving Jesus. She will be truly missed by all.

Surviving are her husband Albert Lawrence; two-step children Monique (Philip) Heller, Randy (Sara Jo) Lawrence and her grand-daughter Moriah Lawrence.

A celebration of Catherine’s life will be held at 10:30 am Friday, April 10, 2015 at Unity Place at Piedmont Crossing, 100 Hedrick Drive, Thomasville, with Pastor Randy Lawrence officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at Unity Place. Interment will be in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
