Clara Sutphin Anderson

Mrs. Anderson was born on July 11, 1926 in Surry County, NC to the late Ruffin and Emma Rose Williams Sutphin. She was a dedicated member of Southgate Baptist Church in Thomasville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph “Joe” Anderson in 2010.

Surviving are her children, Frank Anderson and his wife Marti of Thomasville, Dennis Anderson of Boone, Ricky Joseph Anderson of Thomasville, Joanne Anderson of Raleigh, and Sheila Nikouyeh and her husband Essie of High Point; grandchildren, Tammy Finn and her husband Bill of Raleigh, Norman Anderson and his wife Gail of Thomasville, Jason Nikouyeh and his wife Lauren of High Point, Ashley Anderson of Denton, Michael Anderson of Lexington, Kaitlyn Brown, Elizabeth Watson, and Heidi Watson, all of Raleigh; and eight great grandchildren.

A celebration of Mrs. Anderson’s life will be held at 3 pm Thursday, September 17, 2015 in the chapel of Thomasville Funeral Home, 18 Randolph Street, with Rev. Andy Royals and Reverend Chuck Garner officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 pm until the hour of the service at the funeral home on Thursday.
