Cleo was born April 24, 1933 in Davidson County to the late Andrew Hoover and Nelia Hill Byerly. She was a resident of Davidson County all her life. She had retired from Carolina Underwear Company. Cleo was a dear sweet and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Mrs. Grubb was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Grubb; parents and several brothers and sisters.
Cleo is survived by her husband, Billy Joe Grubb; son, Michael Grubb and wife Judy; daughter, Tuwana Grove and husband Len; sisters, Lilly Pearl Carriker and Ida Ree Clodfelter; 5 grandchildren, David Grubb and wife Sue, Renee Cook and husband Adam, Sherri Deaton, Cindy Tysinger and husband Charlie, Michelle Miller and boyfriend Marshall King; and 9 great grandchildren, Owen Grubb, Olivia Grubb, Isabella Cook, Skyler Cook, McKayla Deaton, Brianna Tysinger, Dillon Tysinger, Logan King, Autumn King.
There will be a 2:00 pm Graveside Service Thursday, March 28, 2013 in Holly Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Billy Joe Yates officiating.
