A resident of this area all of her life, Cynthia was born on March 18, 1961 to Altman Bradley (A.B.) Elliott and Jerrydean Bryant Elliott Causey. Cynthia was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker. She was the loving wife of Darrel McHone, with whom she shared over 37 wonderful years of marriage.
Cynthia was always putting others before herself and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter. Every Sunday afternoon, she and Darrell always spent the afternoon together on the bank with a fishing rod in hand. She loved to fish because she felt close to her dad and it was never uncommon for her to out fish Darrell. She especially enjoyed traveling and to go shopping with her best friend, Barbara Davis, who preceded her in death on January 17th. Also preceding her in death was her father, A.B. Elliott on August 21, 1996.
Surviving is her husband, Darrell McHone of the home; sons, Wayne McHone and his wife Kelly of Thomasville and Brian McHone and his wife Karla of Rock Hill, SC; daughter, Kelly McHone Hedrick and her husband Brian of Lexington; her mother, Jerrydean Causey of Lexington; sisters, Mary Elliott Johnson of Lexington and Sandra Elliott Causey and her husband Rick of Lexington; and brother, Dewey Bradley Elliott and his wife Lisa of Lexington. Also surviving are her cherished grandchildren, Jonathan McHone, Dawson McHone, Taylor McHone, and Jordan McHone.
