Gerald Bingham

Gerald served as a minister for many years and was a lifelong servant of the Lord. He always said that he was Baptist by choice but saved by grace!

In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 60 years, Ruth Ellen Phillips; one grandson, Dylan Buchannan; six brothers and three sisters.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Margie H. Bingham; his son, David Bingham; his daughter, Sandra Southard and husband James; his son, Eddie Bingham; his daughter, Annette Grant and husband Roger; his son, Jimmy Bingham and wife Ethel; his son, Scott Bingham and wife Lisa; his son, Brad Bingham and wife Jessica; his step-daughter, Judy Garcia and husband Abel; and his step-daughter, Brenda Bailey. Gerald is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Sechrest-Davis Funerals & Cremations, 18 Randolph Street, Thomasville, NC.

A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Hughes Grove Baptist Church, 547 Hughes Grove Church Rd, Thomasville, NC. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
