Helen Irene Hester

Helen was born in Davidson County, May 24, 1942, a daughter of the late Ivey Lee Sechrist and Elsie Jane Bryant Sechrist. She retired from Parkdale Mills after many years of service. Helen was a member of Archdale Assembly of God, loved the beach and camping. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Billy Gray Hester; a son Johnny Wayne Hester; a sister, Sue Gillaspie and a brother, Austin Sechrist.

Surviving are two daughters, Cathy Veiga and her husband Craig and Mary Beth Hill; a son, Cliff Hester; fifteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Helen's life will be held Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 2 p.m. in the Thomasville Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Billy Myers. Burial will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 1 until the service.
