James Edward Sizemore

James was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting and working in the garden. He loved spending time with his family and will be missed by all who knew him.

James is survived by his wife Portia Elaine Sizemore, one son James Edward Sizemore, Jr. and wife Lucy; two daughters Lillie Youngblood and husband Donald, Tina Quinn and husband Robert; two step-sons, Darrell Smith and wife Pam, Terry Williams and wife Macey; one step-daughter Janet Williams and husband Carl; five brothers, Curtis, Leonard, Thomas, Don and Stewart; sister Darlene Bolen; 19 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters Sylvia and Bonnie; brothers Bobby and Kelly; granddaughter Clarissa.

A funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Sechrest-Davis Funerals and Cremations, 18 Randolph St., Thomasville, NC 27360 on Friday, March 29, 2024 at 2:00 pm.

The family will greet friends prior to the service from 1:00-1:45 at the funeral home.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, April 1, 2024 at Palm Memorial Gardens in Matheny, West Virginia.
