Merrill Leon Lambeth

Merrill served in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne and was a member of the Airborne Honor Guard. He was a diesel mechanic and enjoyed restoring tractors.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Lambeth; brothers, Sherrill Lambeth, Jerry Lambeth, Delmer Lambeth; and sisters, Audrey Workman and Mozelle Moffit.

Merrill is survived by his daughter, Kim Thompson (Kip); sons, Eddie Lambeth (Elizabeth) and Marty Lambeth (Rebecca); grandchildren, Brianna Lambeth, Brandon Lambeth, Katherine Thompson; and great-grandchildren, William Thompson-Wallace and Jackson Thompson-Wallace.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Sechrest-Davis Funerals & Cremations, 18 Randolph St., Thomasville, NC, with Belford Fuller as officiator. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Back Creek Friends Meeting Cemetery, Asheboro, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Randolph County Honor Guard, PO Box 1672, Asheboro, NC 27204; or to Brenner Children's Hospital, 1 Medical Center Blvd, Winston-Salem, NC 27157.
