Mike Vinyard Seay

A resident of this area all of his life, Mike was born on May 1, 1962 in Guilford County to the late Evelyn Hurst and Ray Charles Seay. He had worked as an upholsterer for many years and was the loving husband of Melony Smith Seay, whom he married on August 18, 1984. Mike especially enjoyed spending time with his family, swimming, going to the beach, music, and attending sporting events with his sons.

Surviving are his wife Melony Smith Seay of the home; sons, Michael Vinyard Seay II and his wife Stephanie and Curtis James Seay; siblings, Janice Bevan and her husband Ronnie, Bob Seay, and Teresa Clark and her husband Mike; nephew, Charles; nieces, Janice and Melissa; his loving-in-laws, Donald and Belle Staton; and his beloved companion and friend, his dog, Teddy.

A celebration of Mike’s life will be held at 2 pm Monday, June 8th in the chapel of Thomasville Funeral Home, 18 Randolph Street, with Pastor Billy Yates and Pastor Joe Beane officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Sunday, June 7th at the funeral home.
