Ricky Wayne Frazier, 65, of Lexington, NC passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023, at his home. Ricky was born on January 1, 1958 in Ripley, Tennessee, to his parents, Raymond Neal Frazier and Bernice Hendrix Frazier.
Ricky worked at Memphis Ford New Holland for many years and he was a houseparent at the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home.
Ricky was known for his kindness and compassion. He enjoyed entertaining friends and family, fishing, riding his four wheelers, his jet skis, and he would never pass up the opportunity to fire up the grill and cook a delicious meal. He loved bringing people to church and introducing them to the teachings of Jesus. In his final years, he struggled with health and mobility issues due to rapid onset of aging, yet never sought sympathy. He was a member of Walter's Grove Baptist Church.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 28 years Lillian Jayne Scoggins Frazier. He also leaves behind his sister Deborah Elaine Buchanan, of Cordova, TN.
Ricky took great pride in his children and grandchildren. He has two stepsons, Kenneth Lee Hardin, Jr., of Birmingham, AL and Charles Thomas Hardin (Tamara) of Thomasville, NC. He has 8 grandchildren, Stephanie Hardin, of Southaven, MS, Savannah Hardin, of Cordova, TN, Mikayla Hardin, of Lexington, NC, Will Hanson, of Thomasville, NC, Thomas Hardin, of Corinth, MS, James Hardin, of Cowan, TN, Daniel Hardin, of Corinth, MS, and Savanna Hanson, of Thomasville, NC. Ricky also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and a host of friends who loved him dearly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Ronald Neal Frazier of Nutbush, TN, and his nephew, Michael Brandon Buchanan of Memphis, TN.
A celebration of Ricky Frazier’s life will be held at Walter's Grove Baptist Church, on September 6, 2023, at 2pm.
