

Mr. Robert “Bobby” Lee Jackson, 75, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at the Hospice Home at High Point.
A resident of this area all of his life, Bobby was born on February 5, 1939 in Guilford County to the late William Curtis and Agatha Misenheimer Jackson. He was of the Methodist faith and had worked for Jessica Charles Furniture for many years as an upholsterer. Bobby especially enjoyed history, reading, gardening, and spending time with his family.
Surviving is his wife, Joyce Hunt Jackson of the home; step-son, Michael Smoot and his wife Penny of Thomasville; step-granchildren, Andrew Huffstetler and Corey Jones, both of Thomasville; sister, Dot Oliphant and her husband Richard of High Point; and brother, Billy Jackson of High Point. Also surviving are nephews, Jeff and Mark Oliphant of High Point.
A celebration of Bobby’s life will be held at 11 am Friday in the chapel of Thomasville Funeral Home, 18 Randolph Street, with Rev. Billy Rintz officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
