Sara Mae Lambeth Cannon

A resident of this area all of her life, Sara was born on August 10, 1941 in Davidson County to Edmond and Ruby Hughes Lambeth. Sara loved music, especially playing the bass guitar and was an accomplished alto singer. She was very strong in her faith and loved participating in church activities at Thomasville Christian Fellowship, where she was a member. Sara was a very classy lady and fashionable in her appearance. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Sara was preceded in death by her father, Edmond Lambeth and a daughter, Wendy Cannon.

Surviving is her significant other, Sam Shackleford; a son, Michael Cannon, three grandchildren; Corey Cannon and twins Courtney & Cora Cannon, two brothers; Larry Lambeth and his wife Peggy and Steven Lambeth and his wife Judy; and two sisters; Linda Swaney and her husband Richard and Nawassa Hyatt and her husband Tom.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm Thursday at Thomasville Christian Fellowship, 7843 E. Holly Grove Rd. with Pastor Linda Suggs officiating. Interment will follow in the House of Hope Worship Center Cemetery in Lexington. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Wednesday at Thomasville Funeral Home, 18 Randolph St., Thomasville.
