Mrs. Lang was born April 17, 1925 in Anson County to the late June and Minnie Doby Hilliard.
Myrtle loved to sew quilts and was famous for her baking and cooking. She also enjoyed music and singing.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Reverend Robert Doby, Ernest Hilliard and parents.
Myrtle is survived by her beloved husband John Lang of the home; daughter, Lois Leonard and husband George; sons, Wayne Lang and wife Shirley, Eugene Lang and wife Bernice, Nathan Lang and wife Sherry; sister, Cora Boone; 13 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 5, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Thomasville Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, June 6th at Penticostal Church of the Living God in Lexington; burial will follow at 2:00 pm in Cambell Cemetery in Chesterfield, SC.
