James J. Evans

James Joe Evans (Jim) age 84 born March 30, 1928 of Masaryktown FL went home to be with the Lord on January 22, 2013. Originally from Marietta GA, he was the son of late Charlie and Bessie Mauldin Evans. Jim was survived by wife Betty Jordan Evans of 40years, son Scott Evans & wife Rochell, daughter Tealaka Moran Gorman husband Frank, and granddaughter Crystal Evans. Jim had 3 granddaughters and 2 grandsons, 7 great grandchildren. Jim was preceded in death by two sons, Steve Evans & James Evans Jr, 1 granddaughter Nira Tanner. Jim was a military Vet who served in the Korean War & WWII. He was a member of the American Legion post 0186 of Springhill FL. Jim retired in 2003 from Loomis Fargo.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 26, 2013 from 4pm-6pm and Sunday from 12pm-2pm at Sunset Funeral Home, and Chapel Service will be Sunday, January 27, 2013 at 2pm at the funeral home. Entombment will follow to Sunset Memory Gardens. www.sunset-fh.com
