Peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Toronto Western Hospital surrounded by her family. Loving mother of Ken and Carol and her husband Jay. Grandma will be missed by Stephen, Amy, and Caitlin. Survived by her sisters Mary Kashino and Eiko Stearne and her sister-in-law Mary Aoki. Predeceased by her husband Richard Yutaka Hakoda (1995) and her siblings Chizuko Ishibashi, Tadashi Nagao and Fujimi Matsuo. Special thanks to the staff at St. Hilda's Retirement Home for their loving care. Funeral Service will be held at the Toronto Buddhist Church (1011 Sheppard Avenue West, Toronto) on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11am. In lieu of flowers and koden donations may be made to the Toronto Buddhist Church or the Princess Margaret Hospital.
