Alan Louis Joseph Zupo

At York Central Hospital on Thursday June 17, 2010, Alan, beloved son of Louis and Beryl Zupo peacefully gave of his soul to God following a difficult battle with cancer. Alan leaves to mourn his passing, his son Jason, daughter Valentina (Brian), his angel and caregiver Nilla, his sister, Mary and her children, Anthony and Caitlin. Also sharing their sorrow are Valentino and Maria Azzoli, sister-in-law Ida D'Andrea, uncle and aunt Orville and Rita McDermid and many relatives and friends who have showed their love for Alan. Alan was born in North Bay and received his primary education there. He graduated from Vaughan Collegiate and went on to enjoy a successful career in numerous business ventures. Also grieving Alan's passing are many friends and colleagues who will remember him for his quiet way of injecting humor into the simple things of life. He was a gentle soul with an artistic side that he expressed in his everyday life. He was also noted for his culinary artistry. The family of Alan Zupo wish to express their appreciation to the medical and nursing staff of the Continuing Care Unit at York Central Hospital. Their love and kindness was matched by their professional expertise, we are forever grateful. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Blessed Trinity Roman Catholic Church (3220 Bayview Avenue, north of Finch Ave). As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the York Central Palliative Care Unit in his name.
