Peacefully passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Sunnybrook Health Science Centre at the age of 79. Alfio, beloved husband of Maria (nee Alberico) for 49 years. Loving father of Lina and her husband Robert Adams. Adored Nonno of Sarah. Dear brother of Francesco (Gloria), Angelo (Silvana) and Maria Di Giovine (the late Vincenzo). Alfio will be sadly missed by all of his nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 2nd from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 3rd at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paschal Baylon R.C. Church (92 Steeles Avenue West, west of Yonge St.). Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sunnybrook Foundation - Odette Centre.
