It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Bryan Sotelo on July 19, 2025.
Bryan was a soft-spoken, easygoing soul whose warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met. With a gentle spirit and quiet strength, he moved through life with natural ease, weaving genuine connections and sharing a sincerity that made everyone feel truly seen and valued. His patience, humility, and steady presence made him someone people naturally turned to and relied on. Above all, Bryan was devoted to his family — a loving husband, a proud father, a loyal son, and a caring brother. He deeply valued the time spent surrounded by the people he loved most.
He found joy in life’s simple pleasures: savouring good food, the warmth of a home-cooked meal, the comfort of familiar laughter, the echo of stories shared among friends, and the thrill of a game well played.
His friendly smile, gentle patience, and unwavering dedication earned him the admiration of both customers and colleagues alike. Bryan’s thoughtful insight and sincere commitment garnered enduring respect in every role he embraced. With a composed spirit and resilient nature, he provided comfort and support to many.
Bryan’s legacy lives on through his wife, Brenda, and their children, Ethan and Keyra, the centre of his world. He is joined in memory by his father, Emmanuel; sisters Melody and Myla; brother Adrian; treasured grandmother Lola Lourdes; and many extended family members who will deeply miss him. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Bessie, and his Lolo Fidelino.
He will be remembered always for his generous spirit, gentle heart, and the way he effortlessly created a welcoming and soothing presence for all.
A visitation to honour and celebrate his life will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, between 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes, 8088 Yonge Street, Thornhill, ON L4J 1W3.
