A Message For Our Father
It is hard to believe that a month has already passed since our father’s death. 

It is through the support, love, kind words and presence of so many wonderful family and friends that has comforted us during this difficult time. 

My mother, sister and I thank everyone for coming this evening and helping us remember such a special person. 

We would like to conclude this mass with a native prayer that we hope will help everyone remember our father and know that his memory will live on in all of us.

I give you this one thought to keep – 
I am with you still – I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow, 
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone-
I am with you still – in each new dawn.

I cugini Iana, Lillino, Enza e Stefania Corigliano da Reggio Calabria ricordano il loro caro cugino Carlo con tanto affetto. Siamo vicini a Mimma, Francesca, Grace e a tutta la famiglia Sinicropi-Italiano, e abbracciamo tutti i  cugini. Possa Carlo riposare in pace. Un caro saluto.

Carlo era un galantuomo. Aveva un senso particolare della simpatia, che inspirava agli altri e gli altri glie la rendevano. Era un gran lavoratore perché era andato alla dura scuola della vita difficile di un paese povero e a quella dell'emigrazione. Ma Carlo era prima di tutto un parente eccezionale, prima con la sua carissima famiglia ma anche non noi, i suoi cugini. Ricordiamo con tanto affetto quando affettuoso era con i nostri genitori (zii della moglie). Sia al telefono che di presenza la sua voce era sempre "sorridente". Parlare con lui a 6000 km di distanza era come vederlo da vicino perché la voce le sorrideva con parole sempre positive e affettuose.
Carlo era un cugino carissimo con un gran senso dell'importanza della famiglia...Il suo grande contributo è stato di saper trasmettere questa preziosa caratteristica alla sua famiglia.

Carlo was a wonderful person and patient, and it was a real pleasure to be his doctor.  My sincerest thoughts and condolensces to the entire family.

I am so very sorry to hear about Mr. Sinicropi. He was a brave and pleasant man.  He always wore a smile and made people around him happy.

A sad loss indeed.

Carlo Sinicropi passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Toronto Western Hospital on Thursday February 17th, 2011. Loving husband of Mimma Sinicropi (nee Italiano). Proud father of Francesca (Tony Greco) and Grace (Peter Bayla). Adored grandfather of Giancarlo and Max. Dear brother of Domenic (Sara)and Nino (Nancy). Son in law of Giovanni and Grazia Italiano. Brother in law of Nino and Marina Italiano and proud uncle of Francesca, Lena, Kristina, Christian and Grazia.
Carlo was a dedicated and devoted family man. For over forty years, Carlo owned and operated York Kitchen Equipment where he made many wonderful friends. He will be greatly missed.
Family and friends will be received at Jerrett Funeral Home 8088 Yonge Street (Thornhill, Ontario)on Sunday February 20th, 2011 between 7-9pm and on Monday February 21st, 2011 between 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Paschal Baylon Church 92 Steeles Ave. W; (Thornhill, Ontario) on Tuesday February 22nd, 2011 at 9:30am. A special Thank-You to all the doctors, nurses and staff of Sunnybrook Health and Sciences Center and Toronto Western Hospital Neuroscience for their dedicated support and care.

Carlo Sinicropi

Carlo Sinicropi nato a Podargoni, Reggio Calabria.  Deceduto il 17 febbraio 2011.  La veglia ed il funerale sono stati onorati dall’afflusso dei moltissimi amici e parenti che egli lascia a Toronto e che si sono stretti con affetto attorno alla moglie Mimma, alle figlie, Francesca (Tony Greco), Grace (Peter Balya).  Ai suoi adorati nipoti, Giancarlo e Maximilian, ai fratelli Domenic (Sara), Nino (Nancy), ai suoceri Giovanni e Grazia Italiano, al cognato Antonino Italiano, alle sue amate nipoti, Francesca, Lena e Kristina, a tutti gli altri parenti e amici.  Egli continua e continuera a vivere nell’affetto di coloro che lo hanno conosciuto nella sua attivita a York Kitchen Equipment, che ha gestito per oltre 40 anni.  La sua grande ricchezza e stata quella di sapere fare germogliare affetti profondi e indelibili.  Un uomo vero e distinto, innamorato del suo lavoro sempre pronto ad ascoltare tutti, a casa e al lavoro, con un sorriso e un caffe sempre pronto per tutti quelli che hanno varcato la sua soglia.  Quelle piccole cose che oggi e domani alimenteranno il suo ricordo sia in Canada che in Italia e dovunque i suoi amici e parenti si trovano.  Fu amato da tutti, anziani, giovani e giovanissimi.  Se ne andato in silenzio all’improvviso, in punta di piedi cosi come e vissuto, cosi come sapeva fare molto bene.  Se e vero che come dice un famoso poeta “Sol chi non lascia eredita di affetti, poca gioia ha dell’urna.”  Allora Carlo Sinicropi ha trovato nella sua tomba la serenita della pace eterna.  La Famiglia Sinicropi ringrazia tutti coloro che hanno partecipato al loro grande dolore.

I'm extremely sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad. I'm so upset. I can't imagine what you both and your mom are feeling. I wish I knew earlier so I could come to see you both and say goodbye. Your Dad I remember well, what a great man, he was a true mentor for many of us, hard working family man who did what he needed to do for his family's best interests. 
You should both be honoured and proud to have such a great dad. 
Once again, I', so sorry to hear this news.

I am truly priveledged to have known Carlo - a dignified man with a twinkle in his eye for all he greeted. He had the remarkebly unselfish gift of being genuinely interested and pleased to see you. I will forever cherish the time spent with him sipping Limoncello in his outdoor garden patio on a summer evening where he and his beautiful and loving solemate Mima and girls made us feel so welcome and loved. Carlo is a role model for all men to aspire to in his generosity, work ethic, polite character, and warmth. It doesn't cost anything to smile and extend a hand of friendship in today's world - nobody knew this better than Carlo.

Mr. Carlo Sinicropi was a sweet,caring and gentle man. Every one that he encountered he touched their hearts. Mr. Sinicropi is the true meaning of compassion. We will dearly miss him, God will be getting a wonderful angel.

Caro Carlo sono rimasto sorpreso della tua scomparsa, ricordo i bei momenti passati insieme durante l'agosto del 1990, in particolare quando mi portavi a prendere il caffè nel bar vicino a casa vostra e di quando mi parlavi del tuo lavoro che era uguale al mio.
Mi dispiace non essere vicino a te e alle mie cugine e in questo momento mi rendo conto quanto siamo distanti un saluto con affetto Natale e Roberta.

Il mio ricordo di Carlo è che era una persona che ti metteva  a tuo agio
sempre con la battuta pronta,
entusiasta di essere Italiano. Mi ricordo 
nell' agosto del 1990 quando ero in Canada e mi portava in giro con l'alfa romeo  a prendere il caffè  espresso in quel bar non lontano da casa che
mi raccontava del suo lavoro che è lo stesso che faccio io.
In certi momenti sembra di essere vicini,ma ora che vorrei essere li per dargli l'ultimo saluto e  abbracciare 
le mie cugine in questo momento difficilemi rendo conto che siamo lontanissimi.
