Our beloved Carol ascended to the glory of heaven on December 19, 2025, at 81 years of age. She left us peacefully – without regret or sadness - and is now joyfully reunited with parents Alice & Dimitri, siblings Mary, Glady, Bill, Steve and Pearl, and countless other family members and friends. Survived by her loving daughter Laurie, grandsons Mackenzie, Devon and Nathan, son-in-law Dave, and a host of nieces, nephews & friends - Carol will be dearly missed by all who had the honour to know her. As heaven would have it, our precious family dog passed the same day. It is comforting to know that Carol and Guess are together - where they will continue to love and care for each other - as they did on earth.
Known for her selflessness and piety, Carol’s positive and simple approach to life is a lesson to us all – express thankfulness always, never take things for granted, and do your best to see the glass half full. Having lived her life grounded in these beliefs, Carol would not see the transition from one world to another as something to be mourned. Hence, the family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others - not the sadness of her passing.
A service will be held at the Thornhill Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home on January 6th at 3:oo - following an open visitation from 1:oo to 3:oo. After the service those who wish to continue celebrating Carol’s life are welcome at the family home - 164 Grandview Avenue, Thornhill.
In lieu of flowers and charitable donations, please do something special for yourself. That is what Carol would want.
