He is survived by his daughter, Kathryn Bisland (Matthew Simone), his granddaughter Scarlett Georgia Fiorina Simone, his two sisters, his brother, his many nieces and nephews, and his great nieces and nephews in Canada, Scotland, the United States and Australia.
Chris will be remembered fondly by Kathryn as her “Wee Da'", by Scarlett as her “Papa Chris" and by his beloved nieces and nephews as “Cousin Chris".
Christopher will also be remembered for his particular brand of joie de vivre, unique humour, and numerous tidbits of advice such as “Cowboys don’t care", a particular favourite of his daughters.
Chris was always there for his friends, whom he truly valued, from painting a room, to gardening with or for them, to sharing a beer, a smoke, and a laugh from his “office” at St. Bernard’s.
The family would like to express deep thanks to the Sisters and staff at St. Bernard’s Residence home for their care and support of Christopher over the years, especially the support, compassion, and love shown by his sister, Sister Francis, over the last year in particular.
Due to COVID restrictions, a private service will be held by the family on July 17th 2021.
Flowers can be sent to St. Bernard’s Residence, 685 Finch Avenue West, Toronto ON, M2R 1P2 or the family asks that you consider a donation in Christopher’s memory to a charity of your choice.
Condolences can be left on the Kane-Jerrett website.
