Clara Venditello

Mom passed away peacefully at home in her own bed, as was her wish, in the early morning hours of June 15, 2017. In her 96th year, she was the last surviving member of her family. She was the wife of the late Angelo Venditello. Loving mother of Carmella, Mary Longman (Shane), Tony (Cheryl), the late Albert and the late Teresa. Dear grandmother of Lisa (Gerry), Vanessa (Matthew), Ryan (Sarah), Tori (Alex), Emily and Bradley, and great-grandmother of Katelyn, Jaclyn, William, Sophia, Declan and Aurora. She was very fond of her former son-in-law Douglas Mitchell, and her former daughter-in-law the late Barb Kelly. Predeceased by her parents Antonio and Teresa Prezio, sister Helen Alderson (Earl), brothers Gino (Joan) and Arthur (Irene) Prezio. Mom was a true lady of her generation. She was much loved, full of grace, sweetness, kindness and an enduring, quiet strength. In her last weeks and hours my mom would have the love and care of her granddaughter Vanessa by her side. Special thank you to Sandi (Felice) and Sienna who my mother loved as family, to Dr. Sheldon Katz who has cared for our family for over forty years, Fr. Michael, the Baycrest/Wagman Centre, and to her caregivers Jocelyn, Sally and Annalisa from Spectrum for their outstanding care. A private family burial has taken place at Beechwood Cemetery.
