Please accept my heartfelt condolences. Daniela’s contributions to our Ministry  and serving those most vulnerable in Ontario will never be forgotten.  She was a wonderful colleague and will be greatly missed.

I learned of Dani’s passing with a very heavy heart. We knew each other since university, and though life took us in different directions, we stayed in touch from time to time. Life was not always easy for you, yet you were always strong—a true rock. Cancer may have taken you far too soon, but it will never take away the light you brought into the lives of everyone who knew you. You will always be remembered for your warmth, strength, and kindness. Your beautiful spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing you. You will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered. Rest peacefully, my friend.
To Andreea and Cristina: your mom loved you beyond words. You were her greatest joy and her proudest accomplishment. Her love will always surround you—in your memories, in your strength, and in the way she lives on through each of you. May you always feel her presence guiding and protecting you.
To Dani’s mom: no parent should ever have to endure this pain. My deepest condolences go out to you. You raised an incredible woman whose love and spirit will live on through her children and all who were blessed to know her. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers during this unimaginable time.

I had the privilege of working with Daniella for a long time, and she was an exceptional colleague with a deep understanding of her work. We often shared conversations about our families and children, as her daughters were of similar age to mine. Daniella was strong, warm, and always willing to help. Her absence will be deeply felt. I am deeply saddened by the loss of Daniela and I am sending my sympathy to her beloved daughters and family.  

I had the honour of working with Daniela in the Ontario Public Service.  Daniela was always dedicated, intelligent, and demonstrated remarkable strength of character in all that she did,  Despite battling cancer, Daniela continued to work and her resilience and grace left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of working alongside her. Above all, she was devoted to her daughters, whom she loved fiercely and was so very proud of. Her legacy lives on through them and through the many lives she touched. I have worked with Daniela for many many years and we always talked about kids.  She was always proud of you girls.  You both make her so happy wherever you were, in montreal, in scotland or here.

It is very difficult to fathom my dearest friend Daniela has left this world and into heaven. One of the nicest people you will ever meet and glad we worked together in multiple projects. We were so saddened to hear of your Mom's passing. She was a wonderful neighbour to have beside us.  Always smiling, kind and happy to say hello.  I remember one winter when it was snowing sooo hard, that we were out shoveling snow every hour!  We were all laughing and made it fun together. It left a warm place in my heart for your mom. I know she loved to go for walks with your grandmother and it always made me smile when  i saw them go by. Good trip among Angels and Rest In Peace!

I would say Rest in Peace, Daniela.  But instead i will say, Rest in Joy.  I know Daniela's spirit will be with her daughters. Andrea and Christina,  as they make their way through life and flourish, building on the foundation of love that Daniela gave them.  As a colleague,
at work, Daniela was a rock.  Dependable no matter what challenges we faced.  Bringing intelligence and determination to all tasks.  But when the subject of her daughters came up - it was always met by joy.  Rest in Joy, Daniela.

My deepest condolences to Daniela’s  family. I had the pleasure of working with her for a short time in the ministry. She was a joy to work with because she was honest and she told you the truth a quality that I admire. She cared about her home family and she cared about her work family. I wish her family nothing but strength during this difficult time. Trust that she is well.

For nearly eighteen years, I had the privilege of working alongside Daniela. What began as a professional relationship grew into a treasured friendship, one that has left a lasting mark on my life. Daniela was a woman of quiet strength, carrying herself with dignity and privacy. A simple "today is a good day" or "today is a bad day" spoke volumes about her resilience.
When faced with her diagnosis, Daniela fought with courage and determination. She never stopped working, even during her treatment- taking a few hours for herself and then returning to ensure everything was in order. Her dedication reflected both her pride in her work and her care for those around her.
Above all, Daniela's heart belonged to her daughters, Andrea and Christina. They were her pride and joy, the reason she fought so hard, and her greatest wish was to ensure they would be safe and supported when she could no longer be here.
I will never forget visiting her on Dec 7th. Even then, she spoke of work, making sure things were taken care of. Just before I hugged her, she told me, "You know I am not coming back to work." I tried to remain calm, but her words carried a weight I will never forget.
Daniela's legacy is not only in the projects she completed but in the love she poured into her daughters, the quiet strength she showed us all, and the example she set for perseverance and devotion. She was more than a co-worker...she was a friend, a mentor, and an inspiration. I will miss her deeply, but I will carry her memory with gratitude and honour.

I worked with Daniela Mircea for many years. She was calm and smart with a good sense of humour. She was one of my favourite people to work with. I had hoped that one day we would see each other again.

She will be missed. I was one of her biggest fans.
