Unexpectedly and peacefully on October 26, 2003 at home at the age of 78. Loving husband of Gladys, father of John and his wife Tina, Robert and Philip. Sadly missed by grandchildren Johanna, Kimberly, Jamie, Coby and Alyssa. 'Grumpy Pa' as he was known to the grandchildren and ?HMS Don? to his business friends, is best remembered for his love of the church and its people, of the cottage and boats and anything electronic. While he is missed his life is celebrated. Friends may call on Tuesday, October 28, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral Service will be held at the chapel on Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at 1 pm. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Village Missions.
