Passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at North York General Hospital at the age of 88. Loving mother of James (Krista) and Alan. Cherished grandmother of Emily and Nathan. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Anne Brownrigg, sisters Ivy, Rita, Bernice, and Barbara and brothers Frank, Gordon, and Clarence. Doris will be fondly remembered by all her family and friends from St. Edward's Church. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 from 5-7 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Edward the Confessor R. C. Church (75 Churchill Avenue). Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to St. Edward the Confessor Church.
