

(Arnon) Timothy Starr went to be with His Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, January 16th 2018 at ninety-three years. He is lovingly survived by his devoted helpmate of sixty-nine years, and their four children, David (Irene) of Guelph, Miriam (Glenn) of Louisville, Kentucky, John (Carol) of Oakville and Grace (Reg) of Newmarket. Further, there are eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Timothy grew up in Toronto accepting Jesus Christ at the age of fourteen, he was always eager to share his faith. With other young people from the Peoples Church he did evangelistic work on the street corners in downtown Toronto. He graduated from Toronto Bible College. He has a B.A. Degree from Coe College, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, a M.A. from the University of Iowa and a Doctor of Ministry from Luther Rice Seminary, Jacksonville, Florida.
After pastoring four churches in the United States he returned to Canada where he became a denominational leader serving at Director of Church Planting for the Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches in Canada with over 100 new churches planted. He also taught at Central Baptist Seminary now Heritage College.
In his senior years, he returned to the Peoples Church as minister of singles and seniors, formally retiring at the age of 89, but continuing his writing ministry. Over the course of his life he authored over a dozen Christian-directed books and manuals.
Timothy will be missed by his family, friends and the Christian community, but they will all take comfort knowing that he has gone home to be with his Saviour.
Visitation will be held at the Peoples Church, 374 Sheppard Ave. E., North York, Monday, January 22nd at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial contribution to Heritage College and Seminary.
