Ethel Elizabeth Whalley

Mom passed away peacefully at the Community Nursing Home - Pickering, with her son by her side, on December 27, 2010 at the age of 88 years. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 64 years Grant Whalley, daughter Susan Burns, granddaughters Molly Anne and Molly Elizabeth Burns. Survived by her daughter Cheryl Jones and husband Bill, devoted son Alan Whalley and wife Gina, mom's selfless and tireless caregiver, and cherished grandchildren Adam, Alex, Morgan and Maggie. Remembered by her nieces and nephews, Ida and Bill Fruet, Jane and Steve Hiley,Steve and Karen Evans, and their children as well as the "bridge girls". 26 year employee of the North York Board of Education. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Community Nursing Home - Pickering for their unending support and gracious care given to mom. We also extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. M. Pubben for her years of care and concern. Visitation will be held on Sunday January 2nd 2011 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service in the chapel at 12 noon at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street, (at Goulding, south of Steeles). In lieu of flowers donations to the Children's Wish Foundation would be appreciated.
