Fortunato Pirri

It is with great sadness that the family of Fortunato announce his peaceful passing on November 12, 2018 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Anna for 59 years. Loving father of Giuseppa (John Varone), Antonio Franco (Jane), Francesca (Antonio Giovannone), Antonina (Vincenzo DiNovo). Cherished Nonno of Matteo (Jennifer) and Kristina Pirri (Mark Del Favero), Marc and Lucas Varone, Lorenzo and Sabrina Giovannone, Nicole and Domenic DiNovo, and great-grandfather to Annabelle Jane Pirri.

Dear brother of Grazia (Guiseppe LaRocca), Nazzarena (the late Antonio Amalfi), Adriana (Francesco Manna) and the late

Santo (Domenica) Pirri, and loving brother-in-law of the late Filippo (the late Santa) Campo. He will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews and his many friends. Fortunato’s greatest love was his family of whom he was very proud. He loved his garden, specifically his lemon and fig trees. His legacy of honesty and great respect of others will live on in his family. Visitation will be held at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St. (at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Wednesday, November 14 from 2-4pm and 6-9pm. Funeral mass will be held at St. Paschal Baylon Church, 92 Steeles Ave. W. on Thursday, November 15 at 9:30am, followed by entombment in Highland Memory Gardens. If desired, donations to the Lung Association or the Hospital for Sick Children would be appreciated.
