Peacefully on September 14, 2014 at Bradford Valley at the age of 94. Beloved husband of the late Elsa Anna Katharina (nee Werheid). Loving father of Lydia Larter and her husband Jim. Dear Opa of Melissa and Andrew. Sadly missed by sister-in-law Hildegard, niece Annette and her son Julian and many relatives back in Germany. Special thanks to the nurses and caregivers at Bradford Valley for their wonderful care. Visitation will be held at R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St. (at Goulding south of Steeles) on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from 7-9pm. Funeral service in the Chapel on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 11am. Interment York Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
