You will understand the enormity of our loss if you were fortunate to have felt the warmth of Gail’s smile, enjoyed her mischievous sense of humour, benefited from her caring generosity, known her fierce loyalty, and experienced her endless capacity to make those around her feel special.
Taken from us too soon, Gail leaves her husband John, children Matthew, Kirsten, Megan (Rich), sister Sandy (Wayne) and niece and nephews, Kevin, Scott, Lesley, and Darren, along with countless friends.
Gail was grateful for her cherished relationships and recognized how fortunate she was in life. We made sure she knew what an incredibly positive force she has been in ours.
Elegant and wicked smart, with an exceptional memory, Gail had boundless curiosity and energy. She and John travelled extensively, which deepened her appreciation of different perspectives. After the children were born, Gail attended Glendon College and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. She worked throughout her life, starting her career at Prudential, worked part time and volunteered while raising the family, and then ran a business with John. Expanding on her YPO and forum experiences with John, Gail initiated and was instrumental in the creation of the first Women of the YPO (Toronto) forum group. As a member of Bayview Country Club, Gail became an avid tennis player and golfer, sharing her love of sports with her kids.
Gail always stayed true to her guiding compass. She was a passionate defender of fairness. Everyone deserved compassion. Everyone should be included. Everyone mattered. We will miss her voice.
The family will celebrate Gail’s life privately at this time. In lieu of flowers or donations, we welcome your memories of Gail.
