Gindi Sanad Maassarany

Our beloved brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, Gindi Maassarany, has gone to be with Jesus after a long battle with cancer. He embraced every opportunity to live his life to the fullest even when he was ill. He loved God and he loved people.

Gindi’s heart sang when he served others. As a young man in Egypt, his service significantly impacted many lives, and this impact continued and extended to Canada, where he spent his entire adult life serving at his beloved Chapel Place Presbyterian Church. He sang in and led choirs, took the children of the church camping at “8 to 13 Camp” year after year, drove the seniors to their midweek church meetings, employed new arrivals from Egypt for many years at his own business, among many other acts of service. Those who were not related to him considered him as family. He was “Uncle Gindi” to so many.

Gindi loved his family, and he embraced and encouraged every opportunity to bring them all together. His nephews and nieces and their children were his children and grandchildren. Generous to a fault, he leaves a significant legacy, following his older sister Bothina to heaven and leaving a void in the hearts of his siblings and their spouses: Onsi and Venice, Yousri and Eva, Shokry and Margo, Khairy and Mary, Mary and the late Rev. Ibrahim; his nephews and nieces: Rose, Nancy, Rhanda, Norma, Michel, Nevine, Andrew, David, Bahaa, Tim, Sylvia and Lori and all their children; his cousins Mona, Esther, Naieem and Renée, Wadad, Salwa, Nagwa, and Dr. Rev. Atef; his relatives Ashraf, John, Rober and Randa and their families; and many other relatives and friends in Canada, the US and Egypt.

A visitation will be held at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes (8088 Yonge St, Thornhill, ON L4J 1W3) on Thursday, August 4th from 5-8pm, program to be held from 6-7pm. The funeral service will be held at Chapel Place Presbyterian Church (8 Chapel Pl) on Saturday, August 6th at 11 am. Burial to follow at Beechwood Cemetery (7241 Jane St).

رحل الأخ والعم والصديق والأب الفاضل جندى المعصرانى لينعم بالراحه الابدية فى حضن يسوع بعد صراع طويل مع المرض ظل به شاكرا قويا محبا وباذلًا.

احب الرب والناس من كل قلبه فكان يقدم الخدمة بنفس مبتهجه كمن يقدم ترنيمة حلوه للرب.

قضى حياتة فى خدمة الرب بدءاً من خدمته فى الكنيسة الانجيلية الثانيه باسيوط مرنما وقائدا لخدمات الشباب ، ليتمم خدمته فى كنيسته المحبوبه chapel place ايضا مرنما وقائدا لفريق الترنيم كما خدم فى معسكرات الاطفال السنويه من سن ٨ : ١٣ سنه ، وخدم المسنين بالكنيسه لسنوات طويله بقيادته لاتوبيس الكنيسة لتمكينهم من حضور اجتماعات منتصف الاسبوع ، كما استغل عمله الخاصه لخدمة الرب والناس ليتيح فرص عمل لكل مهاجر جديد ، وايضا فتح منزله لاستضافة كل غريب ، وخدمات اخرى كثيرة لذا اصبح لكثيرين اكثر من اخ واقرب من صديق.

احب عائلته واحتضنها مستغلا كل فرصه لتوثيق الروابط العائلية بين جميع افراد العائلة بمختلف اجيالها ، فجعل من ابناء وبنات اخوته ابناؤه واحفاده مفرطا فى العطاء والكرم والحب

اكمل المشوار الذى بدأته اخته الاكبر الفاضلة بثينه التى سبقته للمجد تاركا فراغا عظيما فى قلوب اخوته وزوجاتهم : أنسي وفنيس، يسري وأيفا، شكري ومارجو، خيري وماري، ماري والرحل القس إبراهيم وأبناء أخوته روز ونانسي ورندا ونورما وميشيل ونيفين واندرو ودافيد وبهاء وتيم وسيلفيا ولوري وكل أولادهم وأبناء أعمامه منى واستير ونعيم ورينيه ووداد وسلوى ونجوى والقس

الدكتور عاطف وأقرباءه أشرف وجون وروبير ورندا وعائلاتهم وأقرباء كثيرين في كندا والولايات المتحدة ومصر .

مصلين ان يمنح الرب التعزيه لكل افراد الاسرة والاصدقاء وشعب الكنيسه بمصر وكندا.

سوف تذاع صلاة التعزيه واحتفال الوداع على البث المباشر يوم السبت ٦ اغسطس الساعه الحادية عشر صباحا.
