Gisele was born in Hungary on April 30, 1942. She became heaven’s newest angel on Friday, October 9, 2020, at the age of 78. Gisele is survived by her daughters, Erika Gisele Toth McDermott, son-in-law Timothy, and grandson Dillon of Port Charlotte, FL, Veronika Mary Toth of Toronto, and Kathrina Michelle Toth, life partner, Gordon, and his children of Toronto. She is also survived by Michael Sereg, nephew of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Anne Marie Sereg, niece of Jacksonville, FL, Miklósné Papp, sister-in-law, and her family in Hungary, as well as many great nieces and great nephews. Gisele is now with her beloved husband, Michael, to whom she was married for 50 years, who passed in 2015.
She was most proud of her girls and all their accomplishments. Whether they danced, twirled, or participated in the spelling bee, she was always there to cheer them on. Gisele loved to crochet and taught anyone who wanted to learn. She enjoyed being part of a crochet club where they chatted about everything and anything, shared patterns, attended trade shows, and shared stories of their grandchildren. Gisele was also incredibly involved with Teddies for Tragedy, a global non-profit organization that made crocheted bears for children who lost everything. They worked in conjunction with Doctors without Borders.
Due to the Toronto weather getting colder and the COVID-19 travel restrictions, a graveside memorial is planned for spring 2021.
