With great love and sadness, we announce the passing of Glen on Sunday, November 15, 2009 in his 74th year after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Merilyn, (nee Miller). Loving father of Jill (Lorie), Jennifer (Brian) and Jamie (Jessie). Cherished grandfather (Bucka) of Sam, Bryce, Willliam and Maggie. Dear brother of Bruce (Marilyn), Russell (Janice) and brother-in-law, Donald. Sadly missed by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for all the warm and thoughtful care provided by the staff at Sunnybrook Health Science Centre, especially those on K1 East. Their care enhanced Glen's last weeks. Friends may visit at the R. S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles on Thursday, November 19th from 2-4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 20that 11:00 a.m. in the chapel. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the "Dr. Glen A. Taylor Memorial Fund in support of Sunnybrook's New Breast Centre" through the Sunnybrook Foundation.
