

Passed peacefully on Friday February 24, 2012 at North York General Hospital in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Ruth Bernice (nee Craig) for 61 years. Loving father of Karen (Tim Rowe) and Craig. Dear brother of Lyle and Elaine. Predeceased by his parents Grace (nee Rumble), Stanley and his brother, Kenneth. Loving Granddad to Geoff, Ashley, Chris, Patrick and Lauren. Hank began his life in St. Thomas, Ontario. Fought proudly in WWII as a navigator for the Royal Canadian Air Force and received the Distinguished Flying Cross for his bravery. He later accepted the opportunity to obtain his university education where he met his future wife, Ruth. Together they had an adventurous life in the West Indies and Mexico. They later decided to return and settle in Canada where Hank went on to become the Canadian President of Yardley of London. He enjoyed his early retirement travelling, playing golf and curling. Hank will be sadly missed by all of his family, friends and former colleagues. Tuesday February, 28th, a private family funeral service will be held at R. S. Kane Funeral Home followed by an open reception and celebration of Hank's life at The Donalda Club, 12 Bushbury Dr., Don Mills, Ontario, from 3 to 5pm.
