Peacefully on June 23, 2008 Howard passed away after battling lung cancer. Loving husband to Arlene (nee Kuja), dear Father of Lisa and Keke and her husband Mark. Grandpa of Quinn and Kieran. Son of Robert and the late Doreen Pettit(nee Ready). Beloved brother of Ellen, Betty Ann, Barbara, Gary and his wife Helen. Best Uncle to seven nieces and nephews. Great uncle of five and Great Great uncle of two. Howard will be remembered for his sense of humour, his devotion to his family and his dedication to his long time job with Eastern Refrigeration. Friends may call on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel followed by a light lunch. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Toronto Humane Society or the Make A Wish Foundation.
