Jack is survived by his two children, Elisabeth of Newmarket and son James of Barrie, his parents John and Agnes Hearn of Toronto, his brother Steven (Courtenay) of Holland Landing and their two sons Adam (Lori, and their two children Paityn and Talon) of Newmarket and Boyd, of Holland Landing, his sister Deborah Stevenson (Doug) of Stouffville, and his ex-wife and dear friend Jacqueline Hearn-Kaiser (Reide) of Newmarket.
During his earlier years Jack was active in swimming, skiing, sailing, golfing, billiards and the cottage, but in his later years his passion was fishing and off-roading with his best friend Gary Elder at their land in Muskoka.
Jack worked for Gary in his sign manufacturing business for many years, where he was content working with his best friend and his two nephews.
A small, informal gathering for family and close friends will be held at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street, North York, on August 16th from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Memorial donations may be made to CAMH.
